Who we are

GKM Associates, LLC, located in Johns Creek, GA, is a business coaching & consultancy firm that provides advisory services to small and midsize businesses.

Ramesh Barasia, Owner & CEO, is a certified business coach. He focuses on coaching business owners/CEOs to achieve business success, more personal time, and increased happiness. He guides Owners/CEOs in making businesses work for them rather than working for their companies. He provides individual coaching and consulting to business owners in developing and implementing strategies and game plans.

Ramesh is familiar with the challenges of small and midsize businesses, having started several from scratch – a business division within AT&T, a start-up in Norcross (with funding from AT&T and VCs), and a business peer group advisory services firm.

Ramesh has extensive business coaching, consulting, and advisory experience. Over the years, he has helped businesses grow, gain market share, increase profitability, and improve cash flow.

Ramesh has lived in Johns Creek for the past twenty-five years. He is active in SCORE (Part of Small Business Administration), a voluntary organization for small business mentoring and coaching. He has been on the Board of Leadership North Fulton, where he was chairman of the Project Committee. He has been a member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC), has been a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and was on the Board of conexx (American Israel Business Connector, previously known as American Israel Chamber of Commerce).

He is a strategically minded but operationally driven business coach with outstanding accomplishments. His expertise is in sales, marketing, biz dev, strategic planning, business turn-around, and mergers & acquisitions. He has business consulting experience delivering results in start-up, small, and medium business environments.

Ramesh worked up the corporate ladder at AT&T (NYSE: T) and Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), where he held several leadership positions in sales, marketing, and business development, including President of a business division. Afterward, for the next twelve years as CEO, he led successful turnarounds at Comverse. Inc. (Nasdaq: CMVT), a mid-size technology business; Radware Inc. (Nasdaq: RDWR), a Data Center Solutions business; and IQMAX, a start-up healthcare business.

Recently Ramesh managed a Construction Company focused on Restoration, Mitigation, and Emergency Services for over six years as General Manager, turned the business around, and later sold it to the Private Equity part of the PNC Bank.

Ramesh received a Master of Engineering from Cornell University, a Doctorate in Management Science from Syracuse University, and Advanced Management from Harvard Business School. He has received four design patents.
